­  523 farmers are directly associated with these groups.

­    03 Cooperatives/Federations formed

­  Introduction of appropriate seeds for hill farming has increased crop productivity

­   Linkages with markets have been fostered

­ 02 Agro Processing Centres established in Ganai gangoli and Gangolihat Cluster for Quality Processing, Packaging and Grading of Agri-Produce towards increasing marketability

­Productive Infrastructures viz. Polyhouses, polypits, LDPE tanks, Zero energy cool chambers, mushroom production units have been installed that have been adopted and replicated

­02 Agro Processing Centres has been established in Ganai Gangoli and Gangolihat Cluster.

­01 Spice based processing Centre established in Kimta Village

­01 bakery Unit established in Bankote Cluster, respectively. Hi-tech machinery and bakery equipment have been installed here where products mainly rusk, bun, biscuits and bread are being made.

­Promotion of System of Rice Intensification

­Linkages have been developed VPKAS Almora, GBPAUT, Pantnagar, NABARD, SBI, DCB, RRB, Line Departments and Trading and manufacturing companies like SOS Organic Pvt. Ltd., SP Solvent, Chetna Bakers etc.

4.

Technical Assignment for Trekking Successful Demo/Enterprise in Uttarkashi Project Area of ULIPH

January -March 2011

         Provided technical assistance in undertaking grading and evaluation of ongoing nonfarm enterprises initiated through ULIPH the findings of which have assisted in opening new prospects of launching area and resource specific innovative enterprises in the project area therein contributing towards enhancing the livelihood of community residing in the region.

  •      Technical Support and Supervision of World bank aided Owner driven construction of Houses (ODCH) 

In  June 2013, cloud bursts and heavy to very heavy rainfall hit several parts of the higher reaches of the Himalayas. This unprecedented rainfall resulted in causing extensive landslides at various locations. The districts of Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi were most affected.  About 3,320 houses were fully damaged. The Government of Uttarakhand assisted by the World Bank has appointed

SUDHA as Consulting agency for Technical Support and Supervision for “Owner Driven Construction of Housing (ODCH)”.SUDHA will facilitate the support and supervision towards reconstruction of about 2,402 Owner Driven Construction of Houses (ODCH).

Experience of Working In Uttarakhand State

Right from its inception in 1999, SUDHA has 14 years of working experience in the State of Uttarakhand. SUDHA’s work has been spread over entire state however some key assignments executed are confined to mainly three Districts Almora, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh.

On account of all capacity building initiatives taken up for empowerment of CBOs associated with the organization, SUDHA received the ‘2nd Excellence Award 2011’ instituted by the State Bank of India, Delhi Circle. The Award recognizes SUDHA’s outstanding performance/contribution in the field of Capacity Development of Rural people. SUDHA has also received Plan Global Awards 2010 for Best Project Design & Implementation for UMANG Project which focuses on Child Rights and Child Centered Community Development.
